Energy Exchange's image

"Somatic Breathwork is an embodiment experience, a gentle invitation to move out of your busy mind and into the wisdom of your body. Through conscious connected breathing, you begin to release the energy held within your body’s electrical network, releasing the residue of old thoughts, emotions, and stories that no longer serve you. Guided by Laura’s calm and nurturing presence, this practice supports you in letting go of limiting beliefs, moving beyond fears that have been holding you back, ultimately helping you return to a more balanced, grounded, and authentic self."

Many people don’t find themselves in a breathwork session because everything is going great. Some arrive here seeking relief, searching for a way to feel better, to feel something different.

My own path to breathwork began in that same place.

After surviving cancer and facing its lasting effects, in that same season of my life, an autoimmune and neurological condition also joined my journey, all before I turned 35. I knew I was merely existing. Surviving, yes, but not truly living or thriving. Life felt heavy with chronic pain, exhaustion, and uncertainty about how to navigate my health and future.

Eventually, I was introduced to breathwork.

Through this practice, I began to find my way back home to myself, a process of introspection, self-inquiry, and release.

Breathwork became a pathway to uncover all that I had been holding onto tightly, so tightly in fact, that it began to be woven into the fabric of my being. With each session, I learned to let go and make space for healing, authenticity, and peace.

Breathwork allowed me to rediscover who I truly am beneath the noise, conditioning, and chaos of life.

While it didn’t “cure” my physical conditions, it profoundly transformed the emotional and energetic weight I carried from them. It helped me process and release long-held trauma from childhood and early adulthood. Bit by bit, the anxiety and panic softened. I began laughing again, traveling, reconnecting, and truly living!

Today, as a trauma-informed Certified Somatic Breathwork Practitioner trained through Soma+IQ™, an immersive, experiential program accredited by Arizona State University, I’m honored to guide others through this work.

I believe deeply in the body’s innate wisdom and intuition, the quiet inner guidance that, when we learn to listen, leads us toward healing and balance.

It’s my privilege to hold space for others, helping clients cultivate awareness, regulate their nervous systems, and release the layers of tension that keep them from feeling whole.

My Mission is Simple ~

To share this incredible practice with others! I guide individuals through somatic breathwork sessions that can cultivate self-awareness, support nervous system regulation, and help release the stress and anxiety that can often weigh us down and leave us disconnected.

"Letting go to let in ~ the true Energy Exchange".

Beyond the Breath ~

When I’m not holding space for others in a session, you’ll often find me recharging in nature, walking trails, exploring state parks, traveling, gardening, fishing, or quietly enjoying sitting near the water.

With more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare and wellness space, & with 23 years in nursing, I bring a compassionate, holistic, & person-centered approach to my work, which is guided by a deep respect for the body’s innate wisdom.

Happily married for more than a decade, I also continue to learn about love, life, and the importance of connection from my two adult children. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our beloved feline fur baby & our "grand-floofs", who each hold a special piece of my heart.

As an INFJ personality, I value reflection, depth, and meaningful connection, both in my life & in the work I do with clients. I’m drawn to stillness and simplicity, finding joy in quiet moments that often go unnoticed.

Nature grounds and inspires me. I’m a lifelong supporter of monarch butterflies and value protecting our pollinators. Recently, my fascination for honeybees has deepened as I'm actively learning about beekeeping. They're such a beautiful reminder of community, connection, and the natural flow of life.

Transformation begins in the breath between holding on and letting go.
